Key Florida Safety Requirements
- Annual Inspections: Must be performed by a state-certified private inspector or a local government inspector.
- Certificate of Operation: Must be clearly posted inside the elevator car at all times.
- Maintenance Service Contracts: Owners must have a written contract with a registered elevator company to ensure routine safety checks.
- Emergency Communication: Cars must have a working, dedicated phone line or communication system connected to a 24/7 monitoring station.
